Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the new Parliament House on May 28. The preparations for the inauguration of the new Parliament House are almost complete. And the new Parliament House will be inaugurated in a grand ceremony. The triangular shaped Parliament House is spread over an area of 56,000 sq km.

PM Modi had come to inspect the new Parliament House on 30 March. He inspected all the works there for about an hour. He also reviewed the facilities available in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha in the new complex. PM Modi also interacted with the workers working during the tour. The four-storey Parliament House can seat 1,224 MPs.

Parliament House is equipped with modern communication technology. It has also been made disabled-friendly, so that they too can move around the Parliament House without any inconvenience. The new Parliament House will have new uniforms for marshals and staff. Their new uniform has been designed by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).
